i get that the Mc “liked” girl before the marriage stuff but she really does seem like a manipulative person
So, you steal someone’s boyfriend (because they had their own confession a few chapters back) and date their fiancee…and you have the gall to call and say “thanks you spurred me to action and i was afraid i would lose the relationship if i didn’t.”
Excuse me? Yeah, that was just a low blow. A bitchy thing to do. And to be blunt, if Erika had done a M1 style throwndown with her, it would have been fine by me.
Granted, Erika wasn’t using her brain a few chapters back when this whole plot began to unspool because she didn’t understand she was actually going to lose Nagi in this, but, still…you don’t call and say, “Sorry not sorry.”
First read through i didn’t like Hiro despite her being ordinarily just the type i would be cheering on (she reminds me of my wife quite a bit…save my wife doesn’t have purple hair or work a temple). But now re-reading, I really have grown to despise her (they work harder in the anime to make her likable but it fails there too). If the last chapter is him and Hiro together, I will request a refund for the hours i spent reading this. Ugh, never disliked a primary love interest this much.
