I think i finally figured out why i don’t like Hiro. Beyond her being a manipulative and actually quite selfish person. Its that she’s boring. The story slows down when she’s the focus but not in a positive way that it does with the others. And, she doesn’t bring out something new in Nagi, just reinforces the things that to be honest, are boring as a reader. And as a lover (been married 28 years to someone quite opposite of me). Narratively she just doesn’t work even though normally she would be the character both in design and outline i would most prefer. Is that intentional or did the author miss something with her. And if she wins this love match in the end? Definitely wont re-read in that case.
