Honestly it took him a while to understand there were strings behind the scenes pulled. The moment this “caught with bribe” happened it was obvious there were strings pulled, or else it would not happen, especially on the home turf of the opposing party.
Though I am surprised by how it looked so easily pulled off.
I believe normally it would take a while for the opponent to lose his position. There would be all kinds of articles saying it was fake created to discredit the candidate, police saying there’s no conclusive proof yet, strings pulled by both sides in police and wherever else possible while threatening and buying people connected to the case is going on… In short I doubt it would be so fast, just a day.
