I think it’s quite symbolic he has to become the very thing to deny this happy world. Just like the dragon at the beginning of the story ended his life now he has to end the life of this world to become one with his true inner desire to save the world. Sacrifices will be made but the power and will to move on holds the weight of value that goes hand in hand with his inner desire to make a difference with this second chance. He’s hurt he has lost someone he cared about and again Priscilla persists to demonstrate that tragedy. She wants to escape the realms of fate and reality just to live in a world of make believe. When death and tragedy are part of the cycle we call life.
So…Priscilla basically gave him his perfect world that he’s been dreaming of for years in both his first timeline and now his second timeline. While she’s destroying reality (the world outside his dream/reality).
Although…kinda wish it was more tragic, if she really wanted to stop him 😅. But Dezir has been through enough tragedies already.
