MC is not right, a life of isolation is not ‘just another way to live’. He’s allowed to live like that, but the myth of the satisfied lone wolf is a myth. There are a few people who, for various reasons, just can’t make relationships work, but they are disabled, not just making another choice. A life with good relationships is immeasurably richer than a life of good food and no hassles, and people who don’t get to experience that aren’t “so cool”, they are unfortunate, even if they don’t know it.
BTW, that is completely separate from the question of whether he is asexual. Even asexual people need relationships to live a full life, and the relationships don’t need to be marriage relationships.
