Toru is starting to lose his feelings for Lisa, which would make Kaede feel some what at ease. I think she had some concern that Toru in spite Lisa betrayal, that Toru would take her back. Even more so when Toru found out about the brainwashing. But that may not be the case now, which mean he is starting to move on.

Im glad this didnt turn into him just taking her after all that. This was a good neutral way of helping adress her issues after. She didnt throw herself at him and he still is being innocent despite his man urges.
