why wasnt he just breaking the ruin apart from attacking goblins or did he learn to control his strength if so when?

I believe he is not the hero that is his ass of a friend but he is the demon lord as it is said the demon lord could be a human

Building a city on top of an artificial crumbling gigant cavern seems like a stupid idea in hindsight.
