Honestly, it’s about time this kind of confrontation happened. I don’t know how much time has passed since then, but it shouldn’t be more than a handful of weeks, a few months at most, and the story started only 3 days into the world ending. It’s only to be expected that there would be people and groups gathering like this who hasn’t grasped the situation and still things they’re entitled to anything. Good on the MC for shutting that down quickly and harshly.
I’m not gonna lie, 50 people in one room is tight. But if you’ve only got a couple extra rooms, you’ve gotta save those for medical emergencies, temporary storage, and yeah, maybe quarantine if things get bad. Those are way too important to give away just because someone wants more space.
I don’t know if the MC handled it perfectly, but honestly? Good on him. If you give people what they want right away, they’ll just want more. Better to get them used to cramped conditions now, so when more survivors show up and things get even tighter, it’s not a shock.
And now that his zone has expanded, he could maybe start repairing or using the buildings nearby too. That’s the thing; if you start people in the worst conditions you can get away with, then any improvement feels like a huge morale boost.
yep, that’s what happens in a communist country : powerful people live in luxury and the people live in rather poor conditions. here 50 people in 1 unit when powerful ones have their own and people can be arbitrarly punished by the leader. of course it’s not exactly the same situation nor very same thing but yeah that’s roughly it.
and YES that’s way better than idealised communism of a lot of other titles where mc wants to make a country without poverty and sadness.
I was waiting for this confrontation since the first few chapters. It’s a reality they have to face and for mc to act on in these apocalyptic settlement settings

legit. everyone who stays there contributes in some way to either keep systems flowing or to make it a better place. these lame shits come after the giant is defeated thinking not only are they deserving of a charity but that they can demand more? could’ve started with “we’ve seen the people who live here and we want more rights, what can we do to get those?”
