I hate where the story is going… The MC gets randomly put into a prison, finds out that his grandfather is in the prison and dying, he knows nothing about his mother or grandfather. Then by plot, can “luckily” save him only by finding a McGuffin. Why couldn’t the author just allow the old man die and say a few last words that answer MCs questions? This story just feels like filler – the grandpa will play no part in the MCs journey or path to power, he is just a device to show how filial the MC is and fluff up those chapter numbers.
