this is peak hypocrisy. The MC is correct and right about the patriarch about his evasion of responsibility. It was self-justification all the way. It’s utter bullshit to treat him like this. The MC really has no gratitude though even if only a little. He saw the truth and and knows why his father did what he did but he just refuses the facts because he wants to justify his hate towards him. What does he mean by putting him close to protect him, was he really expecting his father to always focus on him and push away his other family, how crazy is that. Rather, his father did more than the mc deserves by treating all his children the same, he really deserves to get his both his cores broken this time around for his selfishness.
