Admission is a Waste of Time - Chapter 7

Yeah no, it’s very hard to take anything here seriously. The world building is unique and extremely interesting, genuinely a very great breath of fresh air, but the pacing and storytelling/writing is completely wasting it. We don’t know anything about this world and how the power scaling goes, but you’re making the VERY FIRST fight we get against one of the absolute top of the school? We have nothing to go on thus far, and nowhere to go from here. The author should have taken it slow, and spend an arc or two of our group being bullied, and in response taking down the lower classes discriminating against us, which would then be leading up to this.

It’s also pretty clear that the author is trying to make white hair girl look badass, but is horribly failing at it due to what I have mentioned. This class that is suppossed to be the top of the top of special talents and families, go hard after what they believe is the weakest person in the school, but immediately shuts down like cowards the moment someone stronger that they ALREADY KNEW WAS THERE steps up? And without establishing the power system and scaling beforehand? That doesn’t make her look badass, it makes everyone else look absolutely pathetic, and makes the idea of exploring the school further from here completely uninteresting.
