As an adventurer, he gets teased by the guild’s receptionist, receives “rewards” from his magic master, and has fun with the girl he helped…!?

The light novel is up to volume 6, it seems… Not sure if they left the manga on a cliff-hanger to make people want the rest of the story. It’s super disappointing, this was a good one and not nearly finished.
I’m a bit disappointed.
It had potential to be a 9 or 9.5 of 10.
Maybe a 9 out of 11. (Too soon?)
Anyway, it ended up a 6 of 10.
Seems it was unavoidable it got axed with volume 3 (chapter 15).
The base is there, and the snippets are fun, but they are episodical and not really bound together. MC’s backstory isn’t explained or even used until volume 2 where it is started to being hinted at.
Author still held back plenty and only chapter 12 is about to explore it. With chapter 11 basically dedicated as intro to that.
Too little, too late, I’d say.

Nine months between chapter 12 and 13*. Oh, boy. Doesn’t look good.
*=Is it a boy or a girl?
I hate the food porn trope. I’m dropping this on ch. 1
I love this and can’t stand the slow release schedule. It’s light on story and silly in tone, and the first dozen chapters have mostly been about character introduction and world-building. I like hanging out with these characters, moreso because of their realistic flaws and motivations. MC is altruistic, which barely wins out over his laziness, and maybe only because the god that gave him a pass to come to the isekai instructed him to foster his altruism. His teacher is an actual demon; she doesn’t want to hurt him, partly because she feeds on him, but she does not shy away from putting him in danger to get what she wants. The guild girl is corrupt and always has a hustle, his adventurer friend is a self-described womanizing drunk, the list goes on, but they’re all fun and not childish.
High school nerd gets his isekai and it goes well thanks to the favor of one of the gods and a lucky (good luck and bad luck) placement with a high level magic instructor. The story begins with MC already pretty leveled and comfortable, rescuing an outmatched elf battle slave, whom he frees and helps to establish in a new life. She’s not the only woman he’ll save, and there will be romantic interest, but will it be on his part? Who cares, he’s having too much fun dungeon farming and breaking the world’s common sense.
Lots of clever world-building ideas and fun interactions, I rate this very highly. Release schedule does suck. Volume 4 just came out (early 2025), so there will be four more episodes at least, and it hasn’t been canceled. I recommend this relatively short read and hope you find it again after several years, it should continue to be a banger!
guys it updated…
Please more chapters, Senpai !!! This is a good manga and the only thing working against it is the lack of chapters published:-(
Was just about to give this a chance, when i glanced at the release dates of the chapters and had to do a double take.
Look closely. Nine chapters – in TWO YEARS TIME.
Yea, no. One chapter every three months is waay to slow for me.
After reading 8 chapters (that is all there was at the time), I found this manga to actually be a great read. It was very easy to follow and entertaining. If I had to find any faults with this so far would be that its looks to be set up for young teens but it seems to be a bit heavy in dialogue for that targeted audience. But I will also admit, I had some great laughs with the romance comedy that pops up now and then. So I have to caution all, until 20-30 chapters in, you will not know exactly how this tale will turn out, so I will definitely mark this and read to see how it develops. Be aware the first 5 chapters where scanned badly so you could have trouble reading them and from 6 onward is a new scanner/translator, so all the names and titles changed etc.
New chapter please
bit disappointing. starts off i guess around 6 months in, I get it not taking us back with him to japan but the way it comes back from chapter to chapter leaves me wondering how much time has passed between them… is it the following day or weeks between chapters?
I personally don’t think it’# 5 star worthy, definitely a nice series though. Just like what annoyed said below, it’s pretty stereotypical and full of cliches from this type of series. I still find it to be a pretty fun read though.

It seems there is another version of the manga (NOT a light novel, which are mostly text according to every definition I found); while this version seem to be on hold or stopped.
I found it on 2 sites so far:
