Against The Gods - Chapter 349

Ok so here i am again for the future readers. I’ll be explaining what happened in the missing pages of this chapter.

Yun Che finds his father in the courtyard at dawn and asks why the Yun Family stays loyal to the Empress despite being punished for the past century. Yun Qinghong explains:

The Yun family was the most powerful among the 12 guardian families but with the death of MC’s grandfather and all 10 great elders and the Demon Emperor’s Seal being lost the family’s strength was crippled. The other families forced the new Demon Empress to punish the Yun family. The MC’s father uses this weakness to show other families that they are no threat to them so that other families will leave them in peace. Then he clarifies that the Yun families loyalty is towards the Demon Emperor’s Bloodline not any particular person. If the current Empress is overthrown then the Yun families obligation to protect the Demon Emperor’s bloodlines ends.

After this they head towards the Ceremony Hall. Here they meet the Duke Huai who is planning to overtake the throne of the Demon Empress.

Duke Huai greets the Patriarch with a venomous smile and they talked for a while. Then Duke Huai Called his son Duke Hui Ye (the one who ordered his man to kill the son of Great Elder of Yun family). Duke told his son to apologize to the Patriarch for offending him on the day of the Yun family competition. The Duke later expose the fact that he inquired about the MC who the Patriarch has adopted as godson but couldn’t find anything about him which him more curious. After the conversations both parties went on their way to the ceremony.
