That baron had Alto doing the work of 50-100 people?!
There’s a limit to how low incompetence and ignorance can go, and the baron managed to limbo under it!
Demoting him to commoner for costing the kingdom such a huge treasure would be getting off easy.
And now they’re sending the elite royal bodyguards to try and kidnap him back?
No words of apology. No offers of redress. Nothing.

Baron Anmeliza identified Lloyd as a Baron in one instant, then called him a commoner by the following page. Editor needs to be more careful. “Baron” is officially a noble rank, not a generic masculine prefix.
If Lloyd had actually been a noble, his loss and the delay in reporting it would bring up multiple political and security concerns. Anmeliza losing his head for that kind of blunder would have been the least of his worries.
