How does it make sense that a guy, who was basically a slave, becomes a teacher/ instructor just because he can appraise people’s talents?
It’d make more sense to be a captain of a pirate crew or a noble lord in a rural territory. Just because you are suddenly aware of the talents of others, doesn’t mean you can teach them what they need to learn in a way that may or may not clash with the individual’s preferred methods and ideals.
