This proposal has more potential than it might appear at first glance. The nobles of Capua kingdom are bothered by the lack of concubines, and this would shut them up for a long time, because who are you going to suggest is worthy to join the first princess of an important ally? Not many nobles can offer their daughters as ‘of equal value’ at that point. She doesn’t have bloodline magic issues, but every southern royal does, so the list of people you have to say “no” to gets drastically shorter, as in, there is no more list.
On top of that, if she’s doing this for politics and not for romance, you can make an agreement where she stays in the northern kingdom to manage the trade affairs. You can tell everybody that Aura uses magic for the commute, but in reality, Zenjiro stays faithful to Aura, and Freya gets power and connections, and everyone’s getting rich.
I’m not saying it will work out that way, I’m just sayin’.
