i wonder if the author gave the mc any thought of “what if” he has to protect his family but hes too incompetent because he doesnt practice anything besides mediocre magic

Skadi would be a better fit for the General Puyol Just think of what their children would be like. Basically, their children would be almost like the ultimate warriors.

I like that only now do we find out they were adversaries. That’s how you keep a story interesting, by not answering all the questions right away
