I don’t get the issue..
Why care if a foreign noble feel offended. it doesn’t seem like there is an alliance between the countries, more like a truce so wouldn’t it be normal to try to squeeze them a bit?
Normal diplomacy would be to declare that guy not welcomed anymore.
