Huge mistake to have him brush by his obviously infatuated childhood friend who had just finished telling him how great she thought he was and even now expects him to still be in the party. I lost all sympathy for the MC and it all transferred to the CF, who has now been unforgivably wronged by both the Hero and the MC.
The only consolation is that MC clearly wasn’t into her, so at least she got her heart broken cleanly. Sad part about that, she’s obviously gonna track him down after he already has a harem, and she’ll be so committed by that point that she’ll be willing to be his side piece just to have a little of his attention.
