Just make steam type engine with a physical turbine to collect as much kinetic energy as possible.
The jet idea is just a waste.
When i saw that scene in Harry Potter where the Weasly mother was using magic to clean dishes by having a brush scrub a plate with a circular motion – that’s what broke suspension of disbelief for me. It’s not possible for someone somewhere to have missed that; so the HP world doesn’t make internal sense anymore. ALL ENERGY GENERATION in the world is about making things spin, whether it’s magnets in a dynamo/electric motor or pre-electricity steam engines that translate it into physical force to produce movement. Apart from solar panels which convert metal differentials directly into electricity; hydroelectric dams use gravity, windmills use wind, steam engines, nuclear power, sun thermoelectric stations and geothermal deep well heating all use heat to boil water to cause circular spinning motion to generale useable power.
Myabi is just a rando who doesn’t know anything about steam engines or electric motors, so he’s trying his best with what he can do. He’s not very smart, but kudos to him for coming up with the switching block that changes the direction the wind is pushed out.
If i had to guess, i’d say he’s going to come up with a gearing system next so that a little power can turn a small wheel quickly to turn a big wheel slowly. Or some force multiplier like that.

You know… MC makes it resemble actual steam-powered trains… at this point, would it not be more efficient to create one? They just need to figure out what to use instead of actual coal.
I came to see the MC kick tail, not to see him fail for plot reasons and the guy with the glasses to look smug
Why not use wind to spin a wheel, thats geared to fly wheels and then the wheels itself? It takes time to get the fly wheels up to speed, when then gets geared and transferred to the wheels. Train jet is too silly….. lul 
MC is 30,000 times stronger than his disciple, but I can’t help but wonder how much stronger she is than the average normal craftworkers.
Remember when MC was enchanting a knife or something for the dwarf and got really stressed trying to do it perfectly and not waste the very valuable resources he was given, and managed to do it in one or around that and then the dwarf revealed it normally takes him around five fails to get it right

To turn a small quantity of power into a large driving force you need GEARS, not more power.
