This is why I hate many apocalyptic stories. They have ignorant MCs that seem to have never watched apocalypse/zombie movies or lack common sense in general. If you want to save people, that is great, but don’t do stupid things that are unsafe to do in real life, like picking up random sketchy hitchhikers.
