WTF? Broadcast television stations are more dependent upon the grid than automated cell phone towers that have both battery and generator backup. Similarly, water pump stations require power from the electrical grid, but have generators for backup power. Television stations use a lot of power and many depend on the commercial building that they’re in for power. Some might have generators for backup power, but they also depend heavily upon staff to keep up and running. Telecom networks are mostly run remotely, with local staff only for repairs and expansion.
