Wonder how much xp he gets, cuz most players will prolly be higher lvl than him. Not to mention 48 hour death log ban is 10 in game days so very feasible to wipe them all out.
In terms of effectiveness, the main thing is lost levels are an issue for them (high levels take a long time to recover) but also gear gets lost. Does it get claimed by an underling, especially since they can blame others? Also 48 hours unable to log in probably means that the guilds organization starts to break down and with taken gear there will be a lot of internal distrust.
I think that the demon that we saw at the beginning is Elizabeth because they look the exact same but the only difference is that the demon has horns while Elizabeth did not

for those confused about what use this actually is
really early in the story they mention if your over level 5 you lose a level upon death. for a decently high level like the cousin (198) he said even two weeks of running around killing things wouldn’t level him. so since the leaders are probably high level hes setting them all back weeks of hard grinding. plus these shots are probably hard on their gear’s durability.
he can also just do this again, these players have lives to live they arent soldiers they cant and wont just patrol around all day or tie up high levels on guard duty for when he pops on.
for 1 it’s not perma death and 2 dying in their guild they can keep all their stuff. But I haven’t read this far in this manga to not know this is somehow going to be a big deal
