i get annoyed about this every time i read a story like ths one, but seriously, why would you not let them take some test to start out frm a high level? I mean the only argument for doing so i have ever read is, that apparently it would make people oh so jealous to see some guy get an instant A rank, but lets be honest if you have a guy with s rank strength who is only permitted to gather herbs. than that is just a loss for the entire guild and anyone who would get jealous of that would be the 50 year old guy who is stilll stuck at d rank
