When someone recites “It’s the survival of the fittest”, these days it seems they are quoting another who also used it incorrectly.
It does not mean that the stronger or faster are the best, for example, nor how much physical endurance or punishment (harm) they can take.
It refers to the organisms in relation to the environment and how it genetically fits into that space. if one happens to have a mutation that is of benefit to it in such an environment, it is a better ‘Fit’ in relation to others that do not have that mutation.
Saying this as justification to clobber another person, or for sweeping statements like “Everyone, including me, will do ‘x’ in that situation.”
uses incorrectly when its nothing to do with genetics.
“I have to steal and kill you now, nothing personal, it’s just survival of the fittest.” Of course it is personal, and no, it is not.

Its simply just human nature, Survival of the Fittest. If you want to live in certain situations, sacrifices must be made.

Wait what? so he lets her go knowing the whole area is getting invaded by monsters and he just saved her… yet she just so happens to get to the place to pick up her little sister like a normal day, walk back home THEN the monsters start killing?

It’s his own fault for his broken logic…I would have fought those bullies on sight at every chance…until they gave up, or I get transferred.
If someone is annoyed by the girl coming back……I dunno man, going in the safe place for your little sister, I would too, I woud be annoying than dead
