Did he cut it in half or just take its arm off? Looks like he cut it in half.
But if he just took an arm…this must be a Nanomachine derivative! 
Or I’m just yanking the chain of those that see a trope and assume no one else should ever use it. The worst problem with 99% of manwha/manhua/manga is that they don’t spend enough time worldbuilding or learning basic storytelling techniques. They rely on tropes to convey their stories and don’t do much characterization.
There are exceptions, of course.
