If he is too much egoistic individualist, he better removed from the military immediately and let him do what he want out there to prevent this dick business with extra steps. My guess as to where this story will go..
– the girl survives,
– Ilay gets into prison
– MC gets captured by the enemy
– Ilay get a good and clean “re-education”
– MC learns that the empire is a bug turd and joins the resistance
-ilay climbs the ladder in the military and becomes some sort of inquisitor, hunting dissidents
-big showdown between MC and Ilay at the hight of the rebellion
-mc defeats Ilay, and as he’s dying in his arms his brainwashing wears off and they have a heartbreaking goodbye.

I have a feeling that I’m going to be very sad in the coming chapters. 
mc might have to kill the girl so Ilay dont do nun stupid
I love the character building. The mc Luka and Ilay are a great combo with Ilay being a foil which means he’s a character that has values that contrast with the protagonists. which really highlights their weaknesses and strengths

His arkies victema is so OP that he managed to dodge the bullet with that girls marriage proposal…. Imagine saying yes cuz she said her family can help you climb the rank only for them to treason against the empire
