Bad Born Blood - Chapter 69
Comments for chapter "Chapter 69"
I love this series. It’s fun and relatively unique, but my lord, it can get overly dramatic at times, haha.
Someone who watches can’t always have their eyes on the ground, They need to look up to see everything. I think the watches are similar to court jesters, they are the people who can criticise the leader without treason, they watch to find the best decision, even if it means going against the leadership. They are both the spy and spymaster, The one who find the stings and pulls them. I think the emperor likes luca’s ‘disobedience’ as it shows he can go against his ideas to possibly propose better but still continues the plan as it would have been made with the current watcher, in this scenario, who is smarter and has more knowledge & experience than luca at this point
What is this about brain overloading again XDD, cmon man, you can be qxhausted but I find him being so exhausted to almost not being able to move bit silly
Damn I’m getting anxiety just reading this. I love it, it’s a different kind of tension from walking on a thin thread than other series. It’s a mental battle. Hype af
Yea, i don’t know. I think people like people in whom they see similiar qualities.
he doesnt look like a man
I know that good monarchs exist, and there’s plenty in manhwa and other media.
However.
When it comes to a literal multi-planetary warmongering empire that employs some of the smartest and most ruthless people in the known galaxy of immense proportions and has a power hungry bureaucracy, being ruled by a single figure (the emperor) seems like it would be an impossible feat.
Yet, here is an emperor who has proven that he very much so controls the entire empire from his throne, and sees more than anyone else.
Not only that, but this emperor is part of a lineage; his fathers and mothers were all also able to maintain the monarchy through many turbulent stages, I’d imagine.
This gets us to the question: How did they do it? How did what is essentially one person (and perhaps their family) maintain control of multiple earths and not get assassinated, pushed into at the very least a democratic monarchy (think of Britain with the Prime Minister and Parliament having most of the power, but the king/queen get a say in some things), or simply having the monarchy disestablished?
History would show us with other rulers who had lineages governing for centuries (such as certain Pharaohs, Chinese emperors, and European kingships) that it takes an immense amount of charisma, extreme ruthlessness to kill whoever needs to die but also the capability to negotiate with them, policies that make them untouchable, and complete control of their own military might.
After reading this chapter, I can sense that the current emperor has this in spades, and would never want to be on his bad side to the point that I’d move to the magic alien paladin planet and live in the forest somewhere!
This series has good writing so thinking about it this much sometimes makes sense, and it’s part of my job occasionally.
Sorry for holding up the McDonald’s line though, I’ll take 2 McChickens and a Diet Coke. What? Someone reading this statistically has a decently high chance at working at one!
