I think MC should pick a side now. He’s playing too many sides that his chances of making a mistake keeps increasing. Like how he describes himself walking a tightrope but the rope keeps getting thinner and thinner.
Personally, I’d side with the Kustorias. Both the current emperor and Ivan (the real crown prince) are too much to handle, even this fake crown prince is not as bad but still bad. Besides, I wouldn’t want him to abandon Jizel for this Fc*** up royal family. Though really, his situation is still messed up whatever he chooses.
It doesn’t really matter. Everyone knows he’s on protection duty. He has no choice but to defend, even if it angers the Prince. One outcome is certain death; the other is unknown. You might as well take that.

I predict that he’ll fight and slay the assassin, but then Ivan will force him to BE the assassin.
wow i looove how the story circles around moral dilemmas again and again. no matter what choice he makes, in his struggle to tell right from wrong he will always need to leave something behind. it never feels safe for him and his life is constantly under threat. so rare for mangas today.

Personally, I think Luka wants a fight badly right now, and will ultimately decide to fight this dude 
Man the prince set this guy up bad. If he lets the prince die people will see him as a failure, if he defends him then the emperor will get mad and most likely have him killed for it
Oh damn what a predicament what does he do in this situation save the prince and disappoint Ivan or let the Prince die and be seen as a disgrace for allowing royalty to die in any case its a slippery slope
