Why is them not needing humans to live portrayed as such a reveal, he’s been alive this whole time without eating them.

ngl, if they made it a year i would totally take the deal. What they said is a genuine threat. If they actually seriously went to war and on a massacra like that, they could probably kill at the very least half the planet before being taken out, and that’s assuming they don’t have anyone that could put up a fight against the MC, or hold him back. 3 months is a bit short, we don’t just need to replenish, but grow up as well, but a year would be reasonable.

Not to mention they have a point, humans aren’t that much better. That doesn’t mean we should lay down and die, obviously we should put up a fight, but we shouln’t preach about the human race being that much morally better. Although we are in some aspects, like how the monsters does things in ways that are way more brutal and torture-like than what humans mostly does
