It’s interesting that the author has each of the girls indicate that they might be considering Ran as a romantic interest immediately before he whammies them. I’m not sure if it’s hinting ‘he could have recruited them without the skill’ or trying to take some of the stink off of the mind control.
Urgh, I’m done. The story is as unimaginative as the names are.
The fatty in last panel…
- Megane = glasses.
- Eiichi => (pretty sure) pun on ecchi => pronunciation of the letter H in Japanese => used as innuendo of hentai.
So he is literally labeled as the perverted glasses guy.
And he isn’t an exception. Most names are like that.
Nekoyama for example. Neko = cat, yama … well it is actually hard to tell in romanization only. It could mean mountain, mine, pile, or the god of the underworld Yama, which name as means twin.
So her name could have the meanings of:
- Big cat (a mountain of a cat)
- A pile of cats
- A twin of a cat
- All of the above
And similar. Given her behavior, not very creative. She literally meows!
