I wonder what the actual reasoning for all this is. I know that most of it comes down to Griffiths dream and the apostles just doing his bidding. But is there something else behind it? Like, is Griffith interested in creating a better world? Does he just want to have a castle? Or is he just power-hungry and stuck in the mind of a child? I can’t really say.

Out of context, this chapter makes Griffith looks like a hero knight who controls monsters in a regular high fantasy setting rescuing his love, the princess and her maid from the heroic kindness and love of his heart.
But we all know the truth at this point.
