The way they fight these things reminds me of how people were shown fighting titans pre-odm gear in AOT. Brutal.
Now that you think of it from another angle ; from the angle of some 5th dimensional being who can see time and it’s occurence he would definitely allow the eclipse event to occur in the timeline so that the people of midland could be saved from the beast attacks of the Kushan king .
Otherwise these people would have died in those attacks where even the original band of hawks would be ineffective against those beasts of Kushan king and would have fallen prey .So won’t it be better to sacrifice a small amount of people to save a large horde of them !?
