Berserk - Chapter 336

I have to say. This all feels just like a video game where you cheat. In regards to Griffith. Griffith was never able to achieve his dream on his own. His mind was too weak for that. Or maybe he was too human. He was only able to achieve his dream after sacrificing every he once thought necessary, to achieve his dream in another body. But no matter his intellect or his skill on the battlefield. In the end, Griffith himself wasn’t able to fulfill his dream. Only the power of the Godhand was able to give Griffith what he so desired. That the Apostles follow and such.

To go into the videogame analogy. He wasn’t able to get a satisfying ending because he wasn’t skillful enough (you could say that he defied fate by being too bad at accomplishing his dream).
So he threw away his old save and started a new one. This time with the cheat menu open. His soldiers were near invincible (and fully invincible for any normal human). Everyone he meets instantly likes him. He can control monsters without any problems. Crops grow way faster than any other place in the world etc.

But all this makes me wonder. Is Femto happy with “achieving” his dream? If not, why do it? Just to rule for the sake of ruling? To me, it just seems pathetic. He never was able to accomplish his goal (the band of the Hawk aside) on his own. Even when he had all the chess pieces in place to originally achieve his dream, he threw it all away.
Now his “golden kingdom” could only exist by basically getting Godpowers. And sacrificing everything and everyone that once brought him this close.

It’s frankly just pathetic. A man so enslaved by his dreams. But with no reason or will to achieve them.
This just makes me wonder why fate chose someone as him. Fate aside, he really just seems like a loser.
