Her being an atheist in a story where the MC was magically reincarnated inside a fictional character from a book she was reading is just plain dumb. The author’s insistence on keeping the MC to be an atheist on a mere whim is illogical. Even if we adopt the whole concept of parallel realities or universes, we’d be talking about having your own consciousness transplanted into the body of another living being for no apparent reason, even more so when all of this takes place within a book. The only plausible explanation would be that MC was in a coma and everything is just her dreams… Well, let’s wait and see. But this atheist’s card is still idiotic.
To this day I haven’t read a story of this genre where the MC goes inside the book he’s reading and manages to have a balanced mind with what he’s experiencing. He/she always ends up immersed in the reality of the book almost thinking he really is the character, without even considering plans to return to our world.
