Hm i dont feel These characters.
First they form a steady party with ria. Klein even seems to have fallen for ria. Then they make the cruel but rational choice to leave her behind, which even ria herself supported. They keep the sword, which makes sense to me, since ria is left for dead and they might need it to defend themselves going back up. Then a lot of screaming of taking revenge , and suddenly these two are some hateful, calculating grave robbers, just to justify that bit of story writing.
I mean they are talking like they stole that sword. The guild law even states, that the sword is rightful theirs. ( No one knows ria survived).
