I gave it a try
But what add3d value is there for the mc to keep the old man with him?? Like seriously you hear war is starting, you have to travel great lengths to find your prospective wife, but you’ll keep a freeloader with you just because? Not only that, said freeloader wait for you to be well on your way before telling you “now turn all the way back and go back to the shaolin temple”
This feels more like a procedural game quest than a story

that old geezer whos formr head of daek faction is not that cunning.. atleast he’s not trying to b so, MC is just a fool without common knowledge and common sense cuz hes ben trap in the mountain by his grand father until his early 20’s
