“Your love is so beautiful” and all that… really?
Did he forget that the old witch is an awful person? She tortured his other wife for years. He could’ve just killed her and taken the flower after instead of pushing this whole “love is the strongest thing” cliché.
It feels like the story is ignoring everything she did just so it can force a moral high ground where he refuses to kill villains no matter what. Even in a more developed, less cruel society, people wouldn’t all think that way.
Anyway, whatever. I’ll just ignore it and keep reading.

You’ve got to be kidding me. They spared her life. That’s just such a load of crap. I took a long break from this story and just returned to read this. And it’s sort of killed my motivation. She really deserved to be dead.
