Could just annihilate their sects & family after making it so they are the only ones who ever ascended among their “relatives” & “friends”. And kill them later when you ascend as well eventually that is. Or “erase” their existence from this mortal world (tho usually in such cultivation mangas that would help them as they then wouldn’t have any “karma” relating back to their past…)
