Slyphy and the Saintess actually get along pretty well when they do meet in the novel volume 7. Even in bed. They have a lot of common points. Although, the Saintess is more of a expert at teasing the MC.
There is a web novel but it sort of ends early at volume 7ish. However, the light novel is at volume 9 and continues.
Its somewhat similar to Christian history. Constantine summoned the minority Christian groups in the Roman empire and coerced them into making him into a holy saint if he converted. The Christian groups (Messianic sect) that refused were nearly exterminated or fled to foreign lands. One key difference between those two groups is if Jesus Christ was a son of god or prophet.
Oof don’t think I’ve ever seen a saintess “abandon” their religion so easily. Goes to show how deep the corruption goes.
I kind of figured that was what happened. That is how sometimes those in power operate. They change the teachings or scripture to suite their own agendas. The problem the MC and the Saintess are going to ace is most of the Nobility and the Higher ups in the Church are going to be against it. Since it effects their status and their agendas. But they are generally the minority. So, what the MC is planning might work.
Maybe church should not have taken out some texts and turn into fundies who hate anybody who is not them? As their god may not like it, you know?
