I wasn’t going to read this but curiosity got the better of me and now that I’ve begun I must say: Two thumbs up. For a separate perspective, ive read thousands – ok thats an exaggeration but at least dozens of novels where something like this happens but we always see it as the woman being toxic and jealous which causes her to fall out of favor. This gives you some insight into their motivations and the “truth” which may not pertain to all of them, some may just be vindictive and spiteful but indeed there is a chance that they were mistreated when someone younger and prettier shows up.
