so did they ever actually explain why the nukes didn’t work. If the surface of the meteor is too unstable to land on, surely a a couple dozen nukes could do the job.

The guy is literally over 100 years old. ~107 yrs
Calculations:
First few chapters, MC was roughly 36 years old. Every time travel has a leap of 20 years which is estimated to be about 3.5 years before the asteroid hits according to the original “TECH” kid in 1st life. Including the start of being 13 years old, his first life is 36.5 years old. Second life and on we subtract the original 13. Multiply the added 23.5 years by the 3 extra lives and we get 70.5. Add that 36.5 we get that 107. IF we subtract those 2 month leaps every time he regresses, then we get 6 months subtracted. That brings it to 106.5 years old.
As I do not have the knowledge of his EXACT age including months after reaching age 13, we go up from there and get just about 107 years old.
Korean age, that is. In America he’d be about 105-106 years old.
Either way the guy is an old bag in a child’s skin lol.
