The most impressive thing is that he managed to know that the day the isolation ended arrived… accurately keep track of time in a dark room with so indication of day and night… well i just have to assume there was an announcement for them or smth. but looking that the entrance is sealed with thick stone… well its just fiction anyway it dosnt have to make sense
