You’ve gotta be kidding me, how is that a good strategy when the Heavenly Demon can just fly and throw Sacred Fire and even burning meteors at them? They are truly seeking death!
Fighting on boats is the worst mistake they could have done, because they have low freedom of movement and are surrounded by water everywhere, even if they might not sink even with armor because they are martial artists, having to swim will cost them a lot of stamina and time while the Divine Cult can send all their troops on the coasts and easily capture everyone ank kill those who keep resisting.
