If there are 50 bandits and we assume (though it probably took him less than a second) that it took him a second to throw all of the pebbles at them then the time it took him to throw each was (1/50) of a second, so using simple kinematics(assuming the distance between the bandits and him is 50m) we can find the final velocity of just one of the pebbles and thus the kinetic energy of one of them (using a mass of 10 gram for the pebble). We could also find the force for one of them by assuming that it takes 0.01 seconds for the pebble to decelerate 2 centimeters after making impact with one of the bandits.
Once we do our calculations the results are:
Force of one pebble – 99,960 Newtons or the equivalent of having 25,390 lb object placed on you.
Kinetic Energy of one pebble – 125,000 kJ (2.5 kilowatts for each pebble)
If he was a normal person eating a 2,500 Calorie diet, he would have to save up energy for 600 days to perform this feat.
The pebble was accelerated at 113 Gs, which in real life is roughly 2.5x the necessary force to take someone’s life.
