for someone who’s lived in the city and wanted to be a colorist all your life AND has been rejected many times… he’s pretty ignorant. I imagine it’s not his first time being rejected for being colorless in the early chapters and also I’m sure he’s heard how everyone speaks ill of the creatures outside. plus has anyone black ever showed up? black matches the creatures outside and yet he’s like “buh what is it?”
