Ominating the fight with swatting a lil spider is acceptable in my books.
He one hittwd pretty much anything in the dungeon so would have been like eugene used harden x10 and tackle afterwards

spider was so insignificant it got offscreened 
and after all of that buildup too, reminds me of the fight against Yammy
