Why was such as important piece of evidence not given to the king earlier? It makes no sense to bring it up now if it was found earlier unless characters are forcefully being made to be idiotic.

The round eyed tiger cub is the dumbest one among the three , besides that how did the mother tiger get pregnant ? Is there another make tiger running around which smashed this one and ran away ?
