Ok had to look this up a bit but pretty sure that thing that has connected with him is a Dokkarbi aka a goblin. In Korean mythology they usually carry around a club or bat which also count as a wand for them and they like to play tricks.

I don’t like how he bashed the leg while it was still inside his chest. His bat doesn’t have a sharp edge, so a portion of that blunt force would also travel through the appendage and into his body, enlarging the wound.
And then he tore it out… If he wanted to die of blood loss so bad he could’ve just jumped backwards and pulled it out that way.
