The MC can’t be as strong as he was, hence how will he beat the villain? An entire clan should still be far out of his reach, so does he mean defending, or going to the offensive? If he goes to attack them already then that would be way rushing it.

That’s good way to build a connection with character by showing how they interact with each other and the way they shown the conversation between father and son seems genuine and unique in manhwa 
From this point, as my experiences it is worth to have talk head to head with your father while both have a time to make a good conversation.
